DISTINCT BUILD OKANAGAN is based out of Vernon, BC and was established in 2010.  In addition to having a passionate interest in architecture, the Distinct Build team boasts a BA from the University of Victoria, a BFA from UBC Okanagan, a BEd from UBC Okanagan. Distinct Build also utilizes its team's background knowledge and experience in Commerce, Marketing, Consumer Studies, Social Psychology, Digital Photography, Autocad, Visual Arts and Design, and Education. Our team has extensive experience with the buying, selling, and building market in the North Okanagan; Distinct Build has been closely involved with the various aspects of buying a home, selling a home, updating a home, and home renovations. 

Distinct Build was created to access, facilitate, and inspire unique building design throughout the Okanagan Valley.  Spanning from the 1950's until present day, this website showcases some of the hidden architectural gems in the area.  Distinct Build is a great place to find exceptional architects, builders, trades people, homes for sale, renovation tips and tricks, and other valuable resources.  Today, so many houses are being built with minimal character or built without distinguishing characteristics that separate them from surrounding homes.  Row after row of matchbox houses squished into side-by-side lots is not the only option available, despite the flooding of these homes in today's market.  Hopefully the images, testimonials, and resources provided here will help enthuse others to explore and understand the importance and value in creative and unique design.  We hope you enjoy the site!  We always encourage feedback to serve you better in your housing needs.
